Underground Garage Carbon Monoxide Detector

Time:2020-01-11

The production of carbon monoxide in underground garages mainly originates from automobile engines. Due to insufficient combustion, a large amount of exhaust gas is generated. The underground parking lot belongs to a closed environment and the exhaust gas is not easy to be discharged, which harms human health. Therefore, the underground garage and parking lot should be equipped with air supply and exhaust systems. For different areas of the parking lot and designing gas detectors, comprehensively detect the carbon monoxide concentration value in the underground garage. When the CO concentration in the environment exceeds the preset alarm value, it can automatically alarm and automatically start the exhaust system for replacement.

At present, the purpose of installing a carbon monoxide detection system in underground garages is mainly to:

1. Real-time detection of the carbon monoxide concentration value in the environment of the underground garage, regular ventilation to ensure that the carbon monoxide concentration in the garage is lower than the hazardous level

2. The alarm value can be set freely, and the exhaust system can be automatically linked when the concentration value exceeds. Exhaust air according to the concentration of carbon monoxide to avoid energy waste caused by excessive exhaust air frequency,

3. The gas detector is connected to the control host through a cable. Multiple fire zone concentration values are displayed and monitored centrally, and the concentration values are displayed in real time.

Common problem:

1. How should the carbon monoxide detector of underground garage be designed and installed?

At present, there is no national standard for the installation of carbon monoxide detectors in underground garages, and its settings are mainly based on the provisions in the "Design Code for Detection and Alarm of Combustible Gases and Toxic Gases in Petrochemical Enterprises" (GB50493-2009). The number of carbon monoxide detectors in the underground garage site is mainly set based on factors such as the size of the root area. Generally, one is about 300 square meters. Installation height is about 0.3-0.5 meters from the ground

2. There are two common signal transmission methods for carbon monoxide detectors: 4-20ma / RS485. Considering the wiring simplicity and cost, it is recommended to choose RS485 signal.

3. How to set the alarm value?

It is generally recommended that the alarm value be set at 30ppm. When the concentration value exceeds 30ppm, it will automatically remind and exhaust. Because the average adult can withstand up to 50ppm in eight hours
