Rebar Detector On-Site Inspection And Precautions

Time:2020-04-18

The on-site detection of the rebar detector is mainly divided into five steps. The specific operation of each step and the matters that should be noted during the operation are as follows:

First step, battery voltage

The second step is to check whether the steel bar is standard

The third step is to set the diameter of the steel bar

The fourth step, select the range (select low range within 50 ~ 60, when the thickness of the protective layer is large, select high range)

Fifth step, reset operation (the hands should not be shaken during reset, keep away from ferromagnetic substances during reset, and reset once every 10 minutes) on-site diameter test. At first, you must first scan the layout of the rebar, as in the previous step, and then conduct the diameter test. When testing the main rib (or upper rib), the probe is placed parallel to the main rib (or upper rib) directly above the rebar detector. The upper part shows the largest signal value, and the same is true for the test stirrups (or lower ribs). Note that when testing the main ribs (or upper ribs), avoid the stirrups (or lower ribs), and when testing the stirrups (or lower ribs) Avoid the main tendons (or upper tendons).

Rebar Detector On-Site Inspection And Precautions

Summary: On-site testing, it is more important to get the reinforcement layout accurately.

Matters needing attention in the detection:

1. Avoid the mutual influence between steel bars. Select the detection area, reset the probe away from the ferromagnetic object before the test, use the positioning function to find the direction and distribution of the rebar, use chalk to draw the location and direction of the rebar, and try to avoid the stirrups at the test point.

2. The direction of the probe movement should be perpendicular to the direction of the rebar. The sensitivity is the highest when the probe axis and the rebar axis are parallel, and the lowest when the probe axis and the rebar axis are perpendicular. During the test, ensure that the probe axis is parallel to the measured rebar and move the probe in the direction perpendicular to the measured rebar axis.

3. Pay attention to the smoothness of the surface of the tested component. In order to ensure the test accuracy, in the test process, in order to ensure the test accuracy, choose a flat test surface, when the surface is not flat or the protective layer is very thin, you can put a non-metallic sheet of known thickness, subtract this value from the measurement .

4. Pay attention to the reset during the test. It should be reset every 10 minutes. When measuring accurately, reset first and then measure.

5. Reset away from ferromagnetic materials. Since the rebar detector uses the electromagnetic principle, it should be kept away from magnetic substances and electromagnetic interference when resetting.
